I have built it, led it and lived it.
My career began on the tools. That foundation still shapes how I think: understand the detail, respect the people doing the work and never lose sight of delivery.
Since then, I have built and led construction businesses, developed housing, negotiated land opportunities, worked with housing associations and investors, and managed high-pressure projects where failure was not an option. Based in Derby, I work across the Midlands and throughout the UK.

Consultancy with its boots on.
I am not another layer of management and I do not arrive with a textbook solution. I get close to the opportunity or problem, challenge assumptions and focus the team on decisions that move the job forward.
Sometimes that means shaping the commercial strategy. Sometimes it means joining land, planning, funding and delivery into one credible proposition. Sometimes it means saying plainly what others have avoided.

Proper documentation, competent supervision and visible control are not paperwork for its own sake. They protect people, demonstrate decisions and stop manageable issues becoming expensive disputes, delays or enforcement problems.

Proper supervision
Competent leadership that checks the work, coordinates trades, challenges unsafe shortcuts and keeps quality visible every day.

Responsibilities understood, risks designed and planned out, information communicated and the construction phase actively controlled.

Competence, accountability and reliable information carried through the project, rather than assembled hurriedly when somebody asks for it.
Where I come in
A regulation can describe the problem. It cannot walk the site, challenge the team or drive the recovery.
I connect the statutory duty, the commercial reality and what is actually happening on site. I establish the gaps, put proportionate controls in place and give the project a practical route forward. In short: when the project needs an answer, that is my role.
